Government Relations Team
Director of Government Relations
Tim Jones joined the Government Relations Team in 2013.
Tim joins Altegra Health with more than 11 years of Government Relations experience in policy and advocacy. Most recently, he served as Director, State Government Affairs for Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, Tim worked as a Government Relations specialist, where he developed legislation in support of NCRIC Group, Inc. in Washington, D.C. He also served as a legislative correspondent for former U.S. Senator George V. Voinovich in Washington, D.C.
Tim earned a BA in Political Science and Economics from Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
Tim’s primary focus for Altegra Health is on public policy and real-time advocacy initiatives related to Medicare, Medicaid, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and dual eligibility. He is also routinely promoting Altegra Health’s interests before federal and state regulatory bodies, agencies and organizations, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Dana Griffin joined the Government Relations Team in 2013.
Dana joins Altegra Health with more than eight years of experience working in Government Relations. Most recently, she served in the Policy, Community and Government Affairs Department at Nemours Health and Prevention Services in Newark, Delaware. Prior to her role at Nemours, Dana served as a consultant for Aetna and as a case manager/plan administrator at Merill Lynch.
Dana earned a BS in Environmental Science from Rutgers University and a JD from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.
She is responsible for cultivating collaborative relationships between Altegra Health and government agencies throughout the eastern United States.

Vicki Jessup brought more than 12 years of experience in Medicaid policy and program administration when she joined the Government Relations Team in 2011.
As the Policy Section Chief for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Vicki was responsible for eligibility policy for Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Vicki collaborated with advocates and government officials in federal, state and local agencies to plan, implement and communicate program changes, while also managing projects to enhance Wisconsin’s eligibility systems and enrollment processes. She also had a major role in the planning and implementation of several Medicaid expansions in Wisconsin, including SeniorCare, BadgerCare Plus and the Core Plan for childless adults.
Vicki earned a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Vicki is responsible for cultivating collaborative relationships between Altegra Health and government agencies in the Midwestern region of the United States.
Dee Anne Ruggs

Dee Anne Ruggs joined the Altegra Health Government Relations team in 2013 bringing with her 27 years of experience at Oklahoma’s Department of Human Services (OKDHS).
At OKDHS, she was an eligibility worker, front-line supervisor, and programs field representative. She, also, served 2 years as co-manager of one of the “Workforce Oklahoma” centers. In her tenure at OKDHS, she worked with all Family Support Programs, including Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, Day Care, Aged/Blind/Disabled, Energy Assistance, Long Term Care and Adult Protective Services. Her responsibilities included ensuring accountability of service delivery and compliance with policy, procedure and statutes; preparing and conducting training; reviewing statistical data and identifying program issues and developing corrective action plans; making recommendations on implementation of policies, rules and procedures; directing development of community resources; serving as program resource for Area Director, County Directors, and local staff.
While at OKDHS, she was recognized nationally for accomplishments in the TANF program’s “Welfare to Work” initiative and received 2 Governor’s Commendations and 3 DHS Quality awards for various projects. In 2010, she received the OKDHS “Best of the Best” award.
Dee Anne earned a BS from Oklahoma State University. She completed over 1,000 hours of management training through OKDHS and the OK Office of Personnel Management.
Dee Anne has been with Altegra Health since 2010. Prior to joining Government Relations in 2013, she worked with the Content Development and Product Strategy teams. In 2015, she took on the responsibility of cultivating relationships between Altegra Health and government agencies in the Central/West region of the United States.
