in the world. As part of company culture, we actively donate to and support a range of charities and other worthwhile activities:
We at Altegra Health support the fight against breast cancer by participating in, what we call, a “Denim Day.” Employees throughout the company are invited to wear jeans to work in exchange for a small contribution. It’s an exceptionally fun yet simple program that has raised thousands of dollars and has united supporters nationwide.
We at Altegra Health quickly and actively lent support to victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti in January 2011. With nearby offices in Miami, Florida, and Puerto Rico, a number of employees at Altegra Health had family and friends who were affected. Individual contributors and the company continue to donate time and money to bring relief to those in need in Haiti.
Toys for Tots—
We at Altegra Health participate annually in the mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. During the December holiday season, Altegra Health arranges an opportunity for employees to purchase toys, donate money, and hand out toys to needy children. This effort results in developing and strengthening local communities and helping others experience the joy of the holiday season. www.toysfortots.org
American Cancer Society—
Altegra Health and its employees contribute time and other resources to help raise awareness for the fight against cancer. The American Cancer Society provides support for victims of various cancer types with prevention and detection services and information for treating cancer. www.cancer.org
Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. We at Altegra Health participate in numerous blood drives throughout the year. The American Red Cross visits company locations to give employees the opportunity to donate much-needed blood. www.redcrossblood.org
